I studied Electrical and Information Engineering at RWTH Aachen<\/a> and graduated as Diplom-Ingenieur. My studies drew me to digital signal processing, and audio became the field where hardware knowledge, mathematics, and software met. I published several papers on electro-acoustics, acoustic measurement techniques, and musical acoustics; they remain available on the Publications<\/a> page as historical material. For several years I also lectured in computer science at the Erich-Thienhaus-Institute, the Tonmeister department of Detmold University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For roughly a decade I built audio software in Delphi. The umbrella for most of it was the Delphi ASIO & VST Project (DAV)<\/strong>, an open-source framework that made ASIO and VST development accessible from Delphi and Lazarus. From it came the freeware VST plugins, the SynthEdit modules, and the VST Plug-in Analyser<\/a> \u2014 a measurement tool for VST plugins that audio developers still reference today. All of this material remains available in the site’s archive section: no longer developed, but preserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I maintained Graphics32<\/a> through its 1.9.1 release (SSE2 optimizations, 64-bit support) and wrote or modernized a long list of Pascal libraries: AggPasMod<\/a> (Anti-Grain Geometry), PascalType<\/a> (a font rasterization engine), PasSFML<\/a>, an HTML5 canvas for Pascal, and tooling around the DWScript<\/strong> language, including IDE integration and a language server. My most-starred repository is the ComPort-Library<\/a>, a serial-port library for Delphi and C++ Builder that the community still uses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For several years I worked at a digital agency in Hannover, building WordPress and PHP solutions along with mobile apps \u2014 experience that later shaped my move to modern web stacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I now work as a fullstack software engineer. Go is my language of choice for backends and DSP work, TypeScript\/React for frontends. Much of my current open-source work revisits earlier themes on a modern stack: DSP algorithms, audio plugin frameworks, 2D graphics, and a full DWScript compiler in Go.
